my name is Bisila, and I write to understand myself, others, and the world.
I study Media and Communications, and aim to master in screenwriting, but most of my work lives at the intersection of culture, identity, and storytelling. I’m drawn to how we translate emotion into structure: how a song, a film, an essay, a space, a controversy, or even a sentence can hold a whole universe of feeling.
My blog is a space where I explore that, part essay, part reflection, sometimes academic, others more personal. You’ll find thoughts on film, pop culture, music, and the strange ways we make meaning out of them.
I believe writing is both an act of analysis and of empathy. It’s how I map the chaos of thought into something that makes sense.
I hope to one day write my own stories, and as I get there, I actively practice the most important base of understanding: being able to analyse the content and meaning in other’s words.
